Scheduled Mothership Adventures:
Mothership Adventures Background
The aboriginal people we work with are commercial fisherman, but due to circumstances beyond our control, the fishing industry is no longer as supporting as it once was. Having grand fishing boats that are safe and comfortable, allows us to convert our vessels for your adventure platforms into our world. So if you want to see the world as we do, and do it with a Mothership Adventure that has no comparison, then you will want to journey into the many amazing regions of coastal British Columbia we offer.
Can you imagine waking up in a secluded bay aboard a vessel, and going out on deck to see a bear rooting around at low tide, and you actually hear the rumble clunk of rolled rocks he is turning over for food? What about being on deck to witness a large pod of orca or humpback whales surface right next to the boat, and their unified blows echo off the shore? Now think about what it would be like to walk a short path through a forest and see giant old growth cedar trees that have stood for over a thousand years. Now imagine standing on deck at night in the warm summers eve, listening to the forlorn howling of a pack of wolves.
To put this into perspective, you need to understand that of all the vessels plying the British Columbia coast as adventure platforms, our captains know their regions better than any other non-native captain aboard other Motherships. This is because they have commercial fished and worked with boats through the area of their operations for decades. Even to this day, our skippers work year round in their theater of operations, commercial fishing, food fishing, and working with industry with their boats.

Imagine walking through an ancient village site while hearing legends or stories by the direct descendents of the people that once lived there for thousands of years. To see an ancient rock carving or painting upon a rock face, you shall hear the information about it that was not gathered from a book, but passed down through generations around family fires. Yes, everything you do on one of our packages shall enable you to experience first hand the First Nations ways. One of the greatest advantages of being with First Nations, is we under Canadian Federal Law have the right to fish/harvest for food, social, and ceremonial needs. We are not allowed to sell, barter or trade the harvest, but we can allow you as a non-native to view some of the most productive ways to fish throughout our coast and experience the bounty. You may see traps come up filled with crab, prawn or black cod. To see a long line retrieved with the hydraulic gear on a boat made for commercial fishing loaded with cod and giant halibut is an experience you shall never forget!

Numerous anchorages that are used by the commercial touring industry, can be congested with vessels of all size and description. The captains we work with use anchorages that we know others would not, for they are off the beaten track, and not written about in the cruising journals that most skippers use for reference out in the waters they are not too familiar with. By journeying on an Aboriginal Adventures Canada tour, you are going to have the true Indian Guide as your captain, and crew.
Seeing as I commercial fished the entire coast of British Columbia, and I know First Nations from all the tribes with boats, I am working with them to conduct Mothership Adventures in every region. A day shall come that Aboriginal Adventures Canada shall also offer these unique tours throughout every region of Canada with the true guides of the waters, who have been exploring regions we have called home for thousands of years.
